I am seeking to hire a Teacher for the Visually Impaired for a full time position at a school district near Reston, VA

Job Details:

  • Full-time
  • 2-3 school sites
  • PreK-12

Some roles and responsibilities within this Teacher of the Visually Impairedjob near Reston, VA:

  • Functional vision and learning assessments
  • Interpret eye medical reports as they relate to educational environments
  • Assist in developing IEPs with goals and modifications
  • Provide classroom teachers with strategies to teach a VI student
  • Consultation
  • Provide modified materials to classroom teachers
  • Monitor student progress
  • Instruct students in using low vision devices

A VA Teacher Certified with an endorsement in SPED-Blindness/Visual Impairments PreK-12 is required to be considered for this job.
