Job Description
We are hiring experienced Machinists to set up and operate CNC Milling and Turning Equipment.
Pay starts at $25.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience; highly qualified candidates can expect a competitive offer in the upper range. We operating on 1st shift 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training
- Prior experience with one or more of the following: CNC Lathe, CNC Milling, Surface Grinders, Band Saw
- Able to perform complex set-ups and troubleshooting with little or no supervision
- Understanding of math concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Knowledge of manufacturing software
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
As a CNC Machinist, you will review set-up sheets and specifications to determine program sequence, setup operation, and dimensions of the finished work piece. The Machinist inserts cutting tools/tool holders and positions tools in turret, loads bar stock or tubing in feeder tube, and loads materials and parts into machine. The Machinist is also responsible for verifying the accuracy of machined work pieces against blueprints or engineering drawings by measuring cuts with inspection tooling and gauges, then making adjustments in the program and tooling as needed to achieve correct specification.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Runs secondary operations on another machine when time allows
- Fills out production paperwork and inspection procedures and documents daily activities
- Reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and tools gauges
- Keeps work area clean, orderly, and safe
- Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations
- Documents machine set up data and maintains all related records and files and updates as needed
- Performs inspection of completed product in accordance with company quality standards
- Signs off completed operations on job traveler
- Performs other related duties as assigned
