Surgical Support Aide - Operating Room - Full-time - Days

The Surgical Support Aide is responsible for transporting all surgical patients to and from surgery.  Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse provides assistance to the patients and nursing staff, assisting with the turnover of the rooms between cases and transferring/positioning of patients. In addition the Surgical Services Support Aide is responsible for maintaining optimum inventory of supplies utilized in the OR Suite. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and reverence for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.

EDUCATION

1. Education: High School Diploma or GED required.  Basic Computer Skills preferred.
2. Population Specifics: Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population of patients served in Surgical Services.
3. Experience: Experience in Healthcare Facility or current Washington CNA License preferred.
4. Required Certification: Must have/obtain a current BLS.
5. Other: Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred.  Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
