Job Description & Requirements

Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit.
Monitor and assess patients' conditions, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize patient needs and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Requirements:
Current and Clear New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Neurological Intensive Care (NIHSS) certification preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry nursing preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in accordance with VA Hospital standards and protocols.
