We are currently looking for an experienced electronic health record system specialist. The ability to navigate an electronic health record a must. Be willing to become familiar with and gain complete knowledge of the Carelogic Electronic Health Record system, overtime becoming a “super user”. Must be willing to learn how to proactively identify opportunities and apply technologies to clinical and business processes by informing and advising internal customers on the E.H.R build and functionality, what the benefits are, how to implement and support requirements.

Become familiar with client services, tier funding and insurance information. Make funding changes within the EHR system communicate these changes to the business office.

Work closely with the EHR system administrator to develop processes for any changes needed to submit a variety of claims as they arise.

Review EHR reports daily and follow up with staff to assure for a clean system and accurate billing submissions and payroll submissions. Respond to staff issues regarding corrections of any claims already submitted, reverse the claim and work with staff to correct the billing.

Compile contractual and other invoices for approval and inputting into the system with accuracy.

Accurate review of claims prior to submission to assure minimal denials. Research documentation for the Carelogic system and Pez billing software to mitigate and resolve denied claims.

Submit claims to the Medicaid portal, review the remittance advice for denials and or recoupments. Correct the claims within Carelogic, or the PEZ system for re-submission & collect the processed file and deposit back into the EHR.

Participate in Agency consortium and other subcommittee meetings. Attending regular Carelogic training, workshops, staying informed of new applications and processes. Attending monthly billing meetings with other State agencies.

The ability to research and stay informed about changes in Medicare, Medicaid and other third parties. Analyze State data reports to ensure accurate reporting and receiving credits for all services provided. Provide feedback for improvements to generate revenue.

Working knowledge of front office functions and backup when needed. $60,000. annually

Qualifications: High School graduate with 2 years experience in healthcare setting. Through understanding for Medicare, Medicaid. Must be computer savvy with extensive Excel knowledge, critical thinking skills, accurate date entry skills, attention to detail, knowledge of the Carelogic E.H.R system a plus. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Required: Clean Background check, Valid driver’s license, and reliable vehicle.

Covid-19 vaccinations are required, all eligible exemptions are considered.
