PAYROLL & BENEFIT SPECIALIST

Terra Site Constructors, LLC, dba Terra Constructs, has an immediate need for Full-Time experienced Payroll & Benefit Specialist in our Chantilly, VA office. Reporting to the Accounting Manager the position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll and benefits processing. The position interacts with all levels of staff in the company and deals with a variety of payroll and benefits issues. The position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the success of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintains timekeeping and payroll systems and files accurately.

· Consolidates timesheet information, reviews for accuracy and enters data into payroll software.

· Confirms approval of timecards, timesheets, overtime, per diem allowances, bonuses and PTO.

· Enters data into Foundation Payroll 4Construction and Heavy Job Timecards for processing.

· Verifies paycheck amounts, reviews pay rates and deductions.

· Assists employees concerning payroll issues.

· Produces payroll reports for management.

· Processes and updates payroll records and employee information.

· Enters data in spreadsheets and data bases.

· Processes Wage Garnishments.

· Responsible for administering Employee Benefits Programs, i.e. Health, Vision, Dental, Life and Disability insurance programs and the 401K Plan.

· Prepares Certified Payrolls including verification of Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates by Project with input in programs like LCP Tracker, SkillSmart and GCPay for submission.

· Enrolls employees in benefit programs and ensure compliance.

Education and Experience:

· Associate degree in accounting or relevant field is highly desirable.

· 3-5 years payroll and befits experience, preferably working in the construction industry.

· Excellent computer skills, i.e. Data Entry, MS Office.

· Excellent Communication Skills, bilingual helpful.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
