Join the Continental City Tours Team!

We are a family owned business who specialize in providing historical private tours within the D.C/Arlington area.

Join our team and enjoy sharing the history and significance of places such as the Lincoln Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and so much more!

Guides will drive luxury vehicles such as Mercedes Benz Sprinters, SUV's and luxury sedans and explain historical anecdotes/facts about the different memorials/history to families during the private city tour.

All cars come equipped with air conditioning and heating throughout the seasons, comfortable seating, team support, a company credit card for vehicles expenses and more.

Guides receive the opportunity to receive gratuities from families that can range from $40-$120 for each private tour (4 hrs) meaning an hourly potential of $30-50/hr with gratuity included, base salary per private tour ranges from $80-$120.

Become part of a supportive environment where training is provided and we will help you learn a recommended narrated script with routes to join our team. Ideally we are looking for someone full time with prior guiding experience in Washington D.C.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Tour Guide is preferred
  • Familiarity with D.C. Memorials and History
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese)
  • Well-versed in American History
  • Ability to resolve issues with a customer-focused orientation
  • An outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Bachelors degree in History or relevant field is preferred
