We are looking for a process-driven and experienced painter to join our team. You'll be responsible for visiting homes and businesses to perform interior and exterior painting projects, including high-end interior and exterior residences. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, is familiar with ladder work, common painting processes, using hand and power tools, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean space. • Communicate with clients to determine their needs and advise them on the right approach
• Leave the work area clean once the project has been completed
• Treat painted surfaces with primer or sealer
• Mix paint or stains to customer’s specification
• Cover trim, fixtures, furniture, and floors to protect them from paint

• Be happy. Show up on time. Work well with others. Follow directions.
• Be willing and capable of learning new processes and techniques.

• Preference for candidates with 2+ years work experience and completed apprenticeship, but not required
• Strong communication skills, time management skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license required
• Experience with painting tools and techniques is a big plus, but we are willing to train on the job for motivated candidates
• Stamina, standing for long periods of time, dexterity, and physical strength is required

Fairmount Painting serves the greater Cleveland area radiating out from the historic east side communities of Cleveland and Shaker Heights. We work primarily on residential projects, higher end. More exterior than interior, but we do both continuously.
