Job Description

The Maintenance Department is seeking a Machine Repair, CNC Specialist to work with the team to Assist in general mechanic maintenance, repair on all plant machinery, including computer numerical controlled (CNC) equipment. Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency preferred
  • Prior applied trades or technical training (BOCES, Metal Working Inst.) is necessary
  • Leadership skills with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with others, take direction from leads/supervisors/trainers and contribute positively to the team
  • Strong math skills and ability to read blueprints as well as use precision measuring and diagnostic tools required
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn and maintain skills necessary to be successful in position

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electronic, electrical, and general mechanical maintenance, repair and rebuild, on all types of machinery
  • Maintain critical part dimensions
  • Ability to diagnose trouble with, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, motors, programmable controllers
  • Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ensure assignments are completed in a timely manner to ensure no delays in workflow
  • Attend periodic on or off site training for continuing education
  • Work individually as well as in a team environment to complete work tasks
  • Versatile and willing to help the team while also putting safety as a top priority
