SHIFT LEADER
Reports To: Managers, GM, and Owners
Supervises: Team Members
General Purpose of Position: As part of the management team, a Shift Leader works directly with the Managers and Owner to ensure the day-to-day management and operations expectations of the retail store are being met. A Shift Leader must have the ability to make informed decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when upper management or Owner is not present.
Responsibilities/Duties
· Responsible for ensuring the highest level of efficiency and organization amongst all store processes and procedures.
· Assists with orientation, training, coaching, and developing team members to understand and execute operational expectations.
· Responsible for the execution and organization of all paperwork relating to store operations and procedures.
· Oversees compliance of team members with established company policies and standards.
· Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
· Upholds specific department goals, cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management.
· Provides support to team members during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
· Processes sales transactions, returns, and special orders, and ensures that all related documentation is accurate and complete.
· Ensures safekeeping of all property.
· Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise.
· Assists in management of sales floor and staff.
· Keeps the management team and owner well informed of activities and significant issues.
Skills
· Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships, utilize skills of workforce most appropriately.
· Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
· Ability to manage store operations effectively and efficiently.
· Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and provide instructions to team members.
· Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Requirements
· Available to work at least 2 shifts on the weekend ( Friday-Sunday)
· Availability to work the hours necessary to open and/or close the store.
