Job Description
SC&A is seeking a senior NEPA specialist with experience with clean energy and nuclear power (in particular, small modular reactors) projects. The ideal candidate will have a nuclear engineering background but other disciplines will be considered that have the desired experience. The candidate should have experience working with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Department of Energy. The candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 15 years of experience. We are also seeking someone who is interested in obtaining ownership in the company. While the preferred location for the candidate is the Washington, DC area, qualified candidates will be considered throughout the US.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in site visits, data collection, and investigations regarding environmental topics.
- Review technical/program documents and applications.
- Perform environmental calculations based on provided methodologies.
- Communicate with regulators on compliance issues
- Lead/prepare proposals
- Interact with clients
- Up to 30% travel required, including international travel
