New River Valley is looking for a Nurse Manager. Candidates must have a RN License in Virginia.

Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:

• Advanced and/or thorough knowledge of psychiatric, drug and alcohol disorders and general nursing care concepts and treatments.
• Assist with monitoring and evaluating all nursing activities including staff development, risk and safety management, financial management, compliance with regulatory standards, policy and procedure development/implementation and performance improvement activities.
• Develop and maintain staff nurse and nurse manager training and education materials on an ongoing basis.
• Comply with all confidentiality and client rights, standards and policies.
Other Duties assigned

Education, Experience:

•Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Knowledgeable in the treatment of Drug and Alcohol and Cooccurring Disorders. Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
•Current RN license in state of practice, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
•Previous Drug and Alcohol experience, including Methadone and Medication Assisted Treatment (Suboxone and Vivitrol) preferred.
