Pay: $16.00 / hour + tips

Position Overview: As a Bartender at Orange Hill Restaurant, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality cocktails, providing attentive service to guests, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. With your expertise in mixology and your passion for hospitality, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall guest experience and upholding the standards of excellence that Orange Hill Restaurant is known for.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cocktail Preparation: Prepare a wide range of cocktails, specialty drinks, and other beverages with precision and consistency, following recipes and presentation guidelines.

  2. Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to bar patrons, engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and making recommendations based on their preferences.

  3. Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the beverage and food menu, including ingredients, flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions, and be able to effectively communicate this information to guests.

  4. Upselling: Proactively promote featured cocktails, specials, and premium beverages to increase sales and enhance the guest experience.

  5. Bar Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

  6. Cash Handling: Accurately process cash and credit card transactions, handle cash drawers, and reconcile sales at the end of each shift in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery throughout the restaurant.

  8. Training and Development: Stay informed about industry trends, new cocktail recipes, and beverage techniques, and actively participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of previous experience as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer, with a passion for mixology and beverage craftsmanship.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and build rapport.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
