Sheet Metal Shop Supervisor

Seeking a Sheet Metal Shop Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Baltimore, MD.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!  

Pay is between $25 - $30 hourly  (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a wide range of tasks including order fulfillment, material handling, inventory management, metal fabrication.
• train and develop your team, enhancing their skills, work quality, productivity, and safety.
• Handle complex calculations and planning for unique or particularly large projects, ensuring efficient execution.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timecards, and scheduling updates using our cutting-edge tools and technology platforms.
• Delegate tasks effectively to fabricators, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Ensure the quality and timely delivery of fabrication packages to prevent project delays.
• Review blueprints, drawings, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
• Manage sheet metal material inventory efficiently to keep operations running smoothly.
• Oversee preventive maintenance of machines to minimize downtime.
• Ensure the sheet metal shop is clean, organized, and ready for action daily.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of sheet metal experience
• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Proficiency in handling complex calculations and planning for unique or large-scale projects to ensure efficient execution.
• Competence in reviewing blueprints, drawings, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures accurately.
• Strong attention to detail.
