Second Chance Addiction Care is a boutique outpatient addiction center serving Montgomery County, Maryland, and the broader Washington, DC area. We seek to help all patients achieve and maintain healthy lives in our comfortable, safe, and therapeutic environment. Our team has decades of experience in addiction treatment and addiction medicine, including leading government addiction programs. Our professional staff also includes individuals who battled the disease of addiction and now have many years of sobriety. We offer individual and group therapy, and medication to combat addiction, cravings, and related mental disorders.

Job Responsibilities:


1. Guides and directs management in the clinical developments and aspects of the organization’s services.

2. Implements programs that meet company and clinical goals and objectives.

3. Maintains a sound plan for the company and clinical organization by establishing policies to ensure adequate development.

4. Ensures that all direct subordinates' responsibilities, authorities, and accountability are defined and understood.

5. Ensures compliance with state and federal laws concerning the execution of clinical tasks.

6. Responsible for client charts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines set forth by governing and accreditation agencies.

7. Oversee all aspects of the clinical operation of the company.

8. Assists in reviewing, revising, and formulating policies and procedures specific to the program, with the approval of the COO.

9. Ensure continuity of care through foresight in directing, controlling, planning, and organizing patient care.

10. Ensure that the client's safety is always our priority.

11. Attend regularly scheduled education classes related to the disease of addiction.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Must have current LCADC, LCSW-C, or LCPC
  • Familiarity with CARF behavioral health standards and experience with the implementation of policies and procedures to keep the agency in conformance with such
  • Has knowledge of and experience working with the substance use disorder population and addiction treatment providers
  • Exhibits good judgment, sensitivity, and compassion
  • Demonstrates strong communication and effective problem-solving skills
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule
  • Maintain a respectful and considerate relationship with clients and staff regardless of race, gender, age, appearance, or circumstances
  • Ability to work independently, showing initiative, as well as collaboratively, with a commitment to the spirit of teamwork and the greater good of the Second Chance community
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the programs, policies, and procedures of the Mission
  • Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, typing, bending, and lifting to 25 pounds
