Job Description:

  • Commitment to providing a positive and respectful work environment for people of all cultures, ages, spiritual beliefs, genders, including gender expression, sexual orientation, languages and socioeconomic status
  • Process and review didactic, specialty, and group documentation daily for completeness, signatures, dates, etc. before filing in client charts.
  • Prepare new files for arriving treatment clients. Be sure proper authorizations have been obtained and necessary PIHP paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Demonstrate competency with the knowledge of funding source rules, regulations, and requirements.
  • Enter required PIHP data into county specific IT systems daily.
  • Process and maintain authorization monitoring sheets daily.
  • Process medical record requests timely.
  • Assist staff with obtaining forms and typing letters.
  • Prepare and send transferred cases in their entirety to the appropriate outpatient office for clients transferring from Memphis residential.
  • Process charts for permanent filing.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls quickly, courteously, and respectfully.

Education/Skills:

  • High School diploma/GED; some college experience preferred
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
