Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team at DLP Capital. As a HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the recruitment process as well as fostering positive employee relations within the organization. You will be responsible for attracting, selecting, and retaining top talent while ensuring all employees experience a positive and engaging work environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a deep understanding of property management practices.

What you have already achieved: (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in HR service delivery, preferably in a property management or real estate industry
  • Proven experience in recruiting and talent acquisition, with a track record of successfully attracting and retaining outstanding employees
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively resolve conflicts and mediate employee issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Experience with HRIS and other HR related software systems (ADP Workforce Now and Greenhouse preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to different sites within the DLP Capital portfolio

What you are great at: (Responsibilities)

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various roles within the property management company.
  • Conduct job analysis and create accurate job descriptions tailored to specific property management positions.
  • Support the entire site recruitment process, including sourcing, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers when appropriate.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and effective integration into the organization.

Employee Relations:

  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by providing guidance, support, and resources to employees.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits, ensuring prompt resolution and a high level of employee satisfaction.
  • Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts, conducting investigations when necessary and implementing appropriate corrective actions, escalating when appropriate. 

Performance Management:

  •  Assist Managers in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to employees in EES tools.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee performance and professional development.
  • Identify opportunities for employee recognition and rewards to boost morale and motivation through Bonusly and other company recognition programs.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, benefits enrollment, and other related documentation.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation and leave administration. 
  •  Stay up-to-date on employment laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and inform organizational policies and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
