Amaray Care is looking for an experienced Caregiver for a full time position located in Rockville, MD.
The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.
Responsibilities:
Provide mobility assistance. This includes client transfers to and from bed or a wheelchair and accompanying them on medical appointments. Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed. Assist with medications. This could be medication administration or reminders. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services (ADL's) include: toileting, bathing, light housekeeping, feeding and grooming. Provide any financial aid if needed by going to the bank or helping the client to pay their bills.
- Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual. Experience working with clients that may have behavior concerns, intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus!
Requirements:
- 1 year minimum experience in Home Health Care
- Must be able to complete and pass a Criminal Background check
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
- Have the physical endurance to lift (mobility assistance, transfers, etc.)
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
- Experience working with clients that have behavior concerns or intellectual disabilities
- Current TB test
- CNA License or CMT certification is a plus!
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $16/ hr
