As an Associate Project Manager (APM), you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support project execution for sold custom vacuum systems. This position is responsible for ensuring the success of the customer and the organization from when the project is sold, through installation. An APM will generally manage projects with a smaller scope, provide Project Manager support, and/or oversee fewer projects compared to a PM or Senior PM.

Job Duties:

  • Managing a project from its closed/won stage through its commissioning.
  • Support Sales and/or Key Accounts Managers during the proposal and approval process by coordinating preliminary and final architectural drawing packages to gain customer approval and meet project objectives.
  • Ensure accuracy of project pricing, applicable discounts, and invoicing to align with the customer profile and proposal.
  • Support prioritizing to help manufacturing and purchasing teams build equipment and procure necessary materials in an efficient manner while still meeting the requested ship date.
  • Identify any special project needs early in process to allow for necessary design efforts and sufficient procurement lead times.
  • Working with the sales team member, coordinating with the customer's stakeholders including architects, engineers, regulators, and GCs to support permitting and inspections.
  • Task mechanical designers to complete project mechanical design needs and populate ERP with necessary equipment information for nonstandard items.
  • Work directly with sales, customers, production management, and the project management administrator to maintain accuracy in Netsuite and Salesforce, in terms of financials and ship dates.
  • Support ancillary project activities such as invoicing, collections, service recovery, etc. to close out equipment, delivery, and financial objectives.
  • Lead project design reviews.
  • If applicable, work with the install team to support and coordinate activities during installation.
  • Respond to the customers needs and associated follow-through activities in timely manners, both written and verbal.
  • Resolve issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective action in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • College degree from an accredited college or university preferred (Project or Construction Management)
  • Two years of relevant work experience (construction or manufacturing project coordination)
  • Alternative: Experience with and Demonstrated Knowledge of Vacutech Equipment, Systems, Processes, and Procedures
