Summary:

The Linear Media Buyer will be directly responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing media buys across the traditional linear platforms of television, cable, and radio. The position reports directly into the Media Buying department.

This position will help one gain invaluable communications, campaign management, government, and technology skill sets. The work and environment develop a close-knit culture of hard work and creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop data guided media strategies aligned with client objectives.

  • Acquire rates and costs across all traditional linear media platforms.

  • Analyze market research study demographic data daily for a wide range of media

    vehicles to determine the most effective approach to reach target audience.

  • Collaborate and contribute to the authoring of creative strategies, presentations, and

    other related requirements for the successful delivery and execution of client

    campaigns.

  • Develop daily timelines for each project and/or campaign.

  • Manages placement and proactive maintenance of all buys daily.

  • Review and monitor media outlet competitive sources.

  • Prepare media plans, analyses, and recommendations based on strategic direction.

  • Communicate with media representatives on behalf of clients daily to negotiate the

    best placement, highest value-add, and optimal use of budgeted funds.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience or familiarity with national, state, and/or local politics/campaigns is preferred, but not required.

  • Broad knowledge marketing, accounting, business administration, and finance, etc. equivalent to a 4-year collegiate degree.

  • 1+ years related experience and/or training.
