General Summary

The Executive Director Business Development is a unique dual-hatted role with a rare combination of hunter (BD) and closer (Capture). The Executive Director Business Development will build and qualify a robust pipeline across selected agencies and accounts and someone who can close those opportunities by developing truly unique differentiation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Requires a combination of re-competes and new business, but very heavy focus on new business generation.
  • Drive $50M-$500M new business pursuits.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and conducting follow-up on sales leads to closing the deal.
  • Creating, administering, and implementing winning business development strategies that the company should pursue.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with various key strategic individuals like local leaders, key industry players, and strategic suppliers.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5 Years experience and success with business development and capture in the U.S. DoD market.
  • Proven recent track record of finding and winning single award new business opportunities valued at $50M - $500M
  • A record of winning /capturing DoD BOS contracts preferred

Work Environment

  • Work environment is a typical office setting.
  • Physical demands include prolonged sitting, intermittent standing and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
