Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 / hour

Position Overview: As a Banquet Server at Orange Hill Restaurant, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch service during private events, weddings, corporate functions, and other special occasions hosted at our venue. From setting up special event rooms to serving guests with professionalism and attention to detail, Banquet Servers contribute to the success of each event and uphold our reputation for exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Event Setup: Assist with the setup of special event rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations according to event specifications and Orange Hill Restaurant standards.

  2. Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, adhering to established service procedures and timing guidelines.

  3. Table Maintenance: Ensure that tables are properly set and maintained throughout the event, promptly clearing used dishes, glassware, and utensils to maintain a clean and organized dining environment.

  4. Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs, answering questions, and accommodating special requests whenever possible.

  5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and special event sales managers, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of events.

  6. Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during events, including guest complaints, technical difficulties, or service disruptions.

  7. Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food, adherence to alcohol service regulations, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

  8. Event Breakdown: Assist with event breakdown and cleanup tasks, including clearing tables, packing up equipment, and restoring banquet rooms to their original condition.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar hospitality role preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other staff members.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry trays, tables, and other event equipment as needed.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette is a plus.
