REGIONAL SALES MANAGER 
Stormwater


 
Territory: PA, OH, WV
Compensation: $115k + 30% commission on base 

The role of the Regional Sales Manager is to develop business relationships by working with the industry leaders, engineering firms, reps, and distributors, to get the company's products known, specified, and installed 

 Essential Job Functions: 

  • Aid representative network by traveling to meetings, making presentations, providing technical information and answering required questions. 
  • Actively promote all Product Lines to engineering firms, trade organizations, owners and operators to aggressively increase awareness of the Brentwood name and company capabilities. 
  • Prepare trip reports. 
  • Attend internal sales meetings with updates on upcoming projects and forecasting for territory. 
  • Provide budget quotes and pricing for projects to representatives, engineers, contractors or end users, in coordination with Product Line Managers. 
  • Review with Product Line Managers & comment on project or engineer’s specifications for the purpose of allowing Brentwood to bid “without exception”. 
  • Assist Product Line Managers in preparing bid proposals, advise on competitive situation of bid and strategy to discuss margins, provide feedback and coordinate with representative to obtain contracts. 
  • Maintain database, with Product Line Managers for all quotes/bids and track and update through to completion of order. 
  • Assist After-Market and Media Sales in the pricing and strategy of Aftermarket and Media Sales. 
  • Prepare annual sales projections for territory and update. 
  • Prepare strategic and tactical plans to improve sales and margins for territory. 
  • Maintain knowledge of marketplace, competitive analysis and trends affecting industry. 
  • Manage Sales Engineers and Sales Support for territory. 
  • Aid plant engineering and operating personnel. 
  • Attend regional and national trade shows and assist with set-up and tear down where required, follow up on all leads obtained at shows and provide ROI advice to Marketing Manager. 
  • Assist Marketing with design and distribution of electronic, print and presentation materials. 
  • Assist Project Management with field service requirements such as tank measurement, inspection, training, systems troubleshooting and system evaluation when necessary and provide field feedback to Customer Service. 
  • Work with Product Line Managers on the acquisition of detailed engineering drawings and required information to enable projects to be handed over to Project Management to be fully engineered. 
  • Work with Contracts Administrator and Products Managers to obtain acceptable purchase orders in accordance with bid proposal and to meet Customer requirements. 
  • Assist Accounts Receivable Department in obtaining payments when requested. 
  • Work with Director of Sales on independent projects. 

 Qualifications: 

The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university; 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plan, specifications, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively prepare and present information to customers, engineers, contractors, top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 
  • Ability to prepare and use spreadsheets, calculate amounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, discounts etc. and to prepare appropriate budgets. 
  • Ability to understand customer needs, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and present solutions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
  • Must be able to travel in the USA and Canada, make field service visits to measure tanks and verify correct installation and operation of product.
