Duct Shop Foreman - Carolina Duct Fabrication

Summary:

Carolina Duct Fabrication a subsidiary company of Edwards, Inc. is looking to hire a Duct Shop Foreman. The Duct Shop Foreman is required to manage all fabrication operations and reports to the General Manager. This position supervises other employees. and is located in Spring Hope, NC and is non-exempt.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule and Distribute work to the shop floor.
• Lead and Schedule the shop employees and their workflow.
• Coordinate between Office/Programming and the shop floor.
• Schedule and perform maintenance of equipment.
• Recordkeeping and shipping of all fabricated items.
• Timekeeping of shop employees.
• Keep record, receive, and track inventory and purchased items for jobs.
• Ensure quality of all fabricated items.
• Safety of all shop employees and facilities.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Maintain a clean shop and office environment, coordinate removal of trash and recycling.
• Interact with sales team to promote shop capabilities and provide shop tours for new and prospective clients.
• Establish an evaluation program and procedures for shop employees.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Forman and/or Management Experience
• Duct/Sheet Metal Experience (Preferred)
• Timekeeping experience (Preferred)
• Computer Experience - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam
• Able to communicate with others in a professional and courteous manner.
• Bilingual (Preferred)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Two-year college or trade school in CNC Machining/Fabrication or HVAC (preferred)

Working Conditions and Environment:

• This is a full-time position. The standard work hours are 7:30am-5:30pm Monday - Thursday. Occasional Friday and weekend work is required.
• Work Environment includes a fabrication shop setting.
• Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • The ability to lift and push heavy objects up to 50lbs.
  • Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even, uneven, stable, unstable, and of varying compositions
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
