Summary:

Prepare and complete formal quotation packages to clients. Administer orders with special instructions and documentation requirements. Expedite project orders and prepare required client reports. Communicate with all departments involved in completing quotations. Coordinate with all departments involved in completing project orders. Coordinate with Administrative Assistant of projects for schedule witness inspections and documentation packages. Identify and present variable pricing to Management Team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Complete and deliver accurate customer quote requests including price verification to analyze the competitive factors that must be considered and negotiated
  • Understand and apply divisional policies regarding pricing, discounts, freight, etc. including managing pricing and related level of approval process requirements
  • Provide product and technical support and solutions to customers by collaborating with Technical Support, Business Line Management, and Application Engineering and other appropriate departments. Partner with application engineering teams to complete quotes and pricing on proposed Bill of Materials and related drawings
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills to generate well balanced customer and business solutions
  • Analyze and support pricing requirements and create pricing models in response to requests on all project types to ensure that adequate support is provided for business solutions/proposals
  • Create and maintain standard work and documentation of all processes for the function
  • Drive and execute process improvement focused on enhancing customer satisfaction, departmental and business needs
  • Partner with finance to discuss and obtain approvals for non-standard payment terms
  • Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Valve Product knowledge, problem solving ability.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
  • Work in several areas simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate well with customers externally and internally and be customer focused.

Education

  • College degree and Second Language preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum Five (5) years job-related experience in Industrial Valve Sales.
