Job Summary

The Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the process of obtaining permission from municipalities for The Electric Guard Dog to be installed and utilized at our customer's site(s). As a Compliance Manager you will be tasked with, but not limited to, gaining building and planning permits, variances, conditional use permits and code amendments. These efforts will be completed via phone, email, in-person, virtual, etc..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize internal and external resources to determine the best process and most strategic approach for gaining permit approvals from appropriate entity for the Company to install our product in a timely manner
  • Contact jurisdictions to understand the required process for permitting approvals and educate approvers on the Company and The Electric Guard Dog
  • Interpret different codes specific to project location and document requirements in designated library for future permitting request
  • Research project site to have detailed site plans commissioned
  • Use code information discovered during the code review research phase to educate multiple levels of municipal government to get a favorable determination/path for product installation approval
  • Follow up with internal and external customers to ensure proper steps that have been established for permitting approval are followed by all involved parties before and after product installation
  • Schedule priorities, tasks, in-person meetings and conference calls with/for Directors (City staff, customer sites, local level government, etc.)
  • Provide Sales and Install department with build requirements based on the site location, jurisdiction, and/or conditions of approval in order to set proper expectations for internal and external customers

Position Requirements

  • Highly organized with the ability to adhere to multiple deadlines
  • Self-sufficient and confident in your decision making
  • Previous experience managing multiple demanding projects and/or task without sacrificing proficiency
  • Working experience with gaining permitting approval and the ability to interpret codes and requirements for approvals
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Sedona, Salesforce and Microsoft office systems preferred
