MWI is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about patient care. As a Certified Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare to pediatric patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing, and treating common conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal care.


In addition to providing primary care services, you will contribute to health promotion, preventive care, and education for patients and their families. Your role as a Certified Nurse Practitioner will require a compassionate approach, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of children and adolescents.

In addition to the clinical responsibilities of the role, the ideal candidate will have an interest in leadership and business and will play an integral role in growing our practices through collaboration with our physician-led executive team."

Requirements:

1. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments on pediatric patients, including physical examinations, developmental screenings, and assessment of psychosocial factors.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and collaborate with healthcare teams for further evaluation if needed.

2. Treatment Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, considering their unique healthcare needs and developmental stages.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions based on evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Monitor growth and development milestones, and offer guidance on nutrition, safety, and overall well-being.

3. Acute Care and Minor Procedures:

  • Diagnose and manage common acute illnesses and injuries in children.
  • Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, and removal of foreign bodies as needed.

4. Chronic Disease Management:

  • Manage chronic conditions, collaborating with specialists and coordinating comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on managing chronic illnesses and promoting self-care.

5. Developmental and Behavioral Health:

  • Assess and address developmental and behavioral concerns in pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to provide support and interventions for children with behavioral health issues.

6. Health Promotion and Education:

  • Provide health education to parents and caregivers on topics such as growth and development, nutrition, immunizations, and safety.
  • Promote a holistic approach to pediatric healthcare that emphasizes preventive measures.

7. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with pediatricians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Maintain open communication with parents or guardians, involving them in the decision-making process.

8. Record Keeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality and record-keeping.
