Sullivan Tire, a leading tire and automotive service company, has been family-operated for over 60 years and has an opportunity for a Regional Auditor- Field Inventory. Field Auditors are members of the Finance/Accounting department responsible for traveling to locations throughout New England facilitating inventory accuracy and safeguard.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe and audit inventories across distribution centers and store locations.
  • Facilitate clean inventory oversite for damaged and expired products, obsolete and slow movers.
  • Assist in the creation of action plans and subsequent execution to address inventory issues.
  • Audit billing, returns, warrantees, transfers, consignments, billed not shipped, and work orders.
  • Maintain inventory scorecards and provide trend analysis on key performance indicators.
  • Import/export data between software systems for inventory updates and variance analysis.
  • Reconcile physical inventory counts for assigned locations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for periodic reviews and compliance.
  • Participate in evaluating and onboarding inventory as part of new acquisitions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in multiple point-of-sales (POS) systems to understand transactions that affect inventory.
  • Assist with general departmental tasks including auditing, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Requirements:

Education/Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or similar field or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of industry/retail experience including 2-3 years of audit experience
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Ability to work in various work environments with potential exposure to cold and heat
  • Candidate must be able to perform physical aspects of the job which includes frequent bending, counting on knees, moving, and lifting.
  • Reliable transportation for travel. Auditor will be expected to perform and participate in inventory counts/audits some of which will require travel overnight stays.
  • Relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation and builds partnerships
  • Takes initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or quantity of job performance and organizational effectiveness.
