Sportsman Boats is looking for assembly technicians in our capping, consoles, T-top, or outboard motor areas.  Must be experienced with both basic hand tools and enjoy working with your hands, building and putting equipment together.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install equipment meeting high quality standards and daily production numbers
  • Pull wires, install equipment like Yamaha outboards, Garmin systems, stereo components, navigation systems, other hardware to specification 
  • Use basic hand tools and power equipment (miter saw, reciprocating saw, drill, driver, etc.) 
  • Build T-tops and consoles
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and quality
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Maintain area tools and equipment
  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing schedules
  • Able to read and understand units of measure
  • Physically able to climb in and out of boats 
  • Be challenged and have fun along the way

What you'll know or have done:

  • Experience with air, hand, and power tools
  • Experience in boating, automotive, electrical, or carpentry
