Clinical Educator, Nursing
Inova Health System’s Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a Clinical Educator to join our Nursing Team. This role is full-time, Tuesday-Friday, 4-10s.

Responsibilities:
- Implements Inova Health System programs for team members to achieve patient care and outcome standards, such as core measures, Magnet standards and patient satisfaction.
- Plans and implements educational activities to support individual development and organizational goals. Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess competence of new nursing team members while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.
- Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles, and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for both new and experienced team members
- Incorporates best practices and research into educational programs while analyzing quality and effectiveness of educational programs.
- Informs appropriate nursing leaders when team members are unable to successfully complete, or are noncompliant with, required competencies.
- Works with teams to synthesize data about quality and safety measures which lead to needed improvements in standards of care by developing, revising and implementing polices, procedures and protocols.
- Collaborates with clinicians to ensure practice is evidence-based and identifies, reviews and applies evidence to guidelines and standards for patient care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Hours: full-time, Tuesday-Friday, 4-10s
- Location: Inova Fair Oaks Hospital
- Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, HealthCare, Education and/or other relevant field
- Experience: Three (3) years of progressive experience in Nursing/Clinical Specialty and in Nursing/Clinical Education
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; Specialty Certification in area related to unit's clinical scope within one year of hire; Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
