We are in search of a Maintenance Engineer who will report to the Reliability Team Lead in our Lake Charles, LA plant. This person will be accountable for providing maintenance support to ensure the achievement of production goals.
- Provides Operations Supervisor's first line of support for solving equipment reliability issues
- Tracks, manages, and analyzes area asset reliability data
- Manages shutdown planning & execution, small projects and update equipment lists, assignments and documents in SAP, DMS, etc
- Trains & improves maintenance management processes & SOPs
- Identifies and scopes potential reliability improvement projects and coordinates external support for maintenance troubleshooting
- Develops and manages equipment maintenance plans, updates PM, PdM, and CBM routines and Maintenance & Operations Training for New Equipment
- Identifies and manages critical spares and inventory levels
- Performs Equipment Availability/Failure Analysis
- Writes and edits SOP/work instructions
- Conduct Management of Change (MOCs), Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) including GMP and PSSR, Commissioning and Startup Activities, daily plant inspections and walkthroughs and OIRs and incident investigations
- Supports Purchasing/GRs/New Vendors/Req's
- Redlines Engineering Drawings and Documents
- Manages and catalogs engineering documents and drawings and process information and updates for P&ID, MOC, Interlock Sched, etc.
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline, or in lieu of degree 10+ years of maintenance and reliability leadership and troubleshooting experience will be considered.
- 7-10 years engineering experience in a petro-chemical manufacturing plant
- BS degree in ME or CE
- Experience working in a union environment.
