At WMC by sourcing post-industrial plastic scrap, we reduce our customer’s expenses and deliver near-virgin resin products to serve the automotive industry. As well as making a positive impact on the environment by recycling plastic. Through our reclamation process and state-of-the-art extrusion equipment, we’re able to recycle over 100 million pounds of plastic every year.


Essential Functions

  • Read and complete work orders and formulas.
  • Examine materials and products to ensure they meet our high quality of standards.
  • Weigh, measure or process materials or ingredients according to formula.
  • Add ingredients for processing using hand tools and other devices.
  • Collect samples of materials for testing.
  • Transfer materials and supplies as needed using forklift or manual methods.
  • Test and examine materials and products making sure they meet quality standards using provided equipment.
  • Record operational and testing data.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure safe operations and safety of all employees.
  • Operate or tend machines that are blending plastic and other components together.
  • Make sure all machinery and equipment is clean and working properly at all times.
  • Use of a variety of hand tools.
  • Driving a forklift.
  • Adhere to all WMC Health & Safety practices.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment, using hand tools.
  • Keep and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Other additional duties as assigned.


Traits Required

  • Attention to detail – Throughout the day inspect products and all equipment meet high quality & safety standards.
  • Flexibility – Working within a team or individually.
  • Dependability – Report for duty as assigned.
  • Ability to use power tools & hand-held tools – same as above.


Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED. (Minimum)
  • Basic computer skills.
  • 0-6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment. (Minimum)
  • Knowledge of machine functions and ability to troubleshoot. (Not required but preferred)
  • 1-3 Years of experience operating a forklift. (Highly preferred)


Work Environment

  • Plant/manufacturing facility. Not temperature controlled.
  • 50% Exposure to hazards.
  • 50% Extreme temperatures.


Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms. May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch.
