SVP Securities Services Risk Officer (Hybrid)

Job Purpose: Provide independent second line risk oversight and challenge of Securities Services businesses, with a particular focus on Securities Services activities performed in the LATAM Cluster. In addition, provide ongoing support to the team's Global Lead for Issuer Services & Fiduciary Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct report of Securities Services Risk's Global Lead for Issuer Services & Fiduciary Risk, who also retains a responsibility for providing independent risk oversight of the LATAM Securities Services Cluster.
• Ongoing independent risk oversight of Securities Services activities performed in the LATAM Cluster via participation in Deal Reviews, Global Product Committees, New Activities Committees, contract reviews, and fiduciary and other governance forums and committees.
• Partner with and challenge senior business management, including Product and other first line business colleagues on the different risk stripes impacting Securities Services
• Provide support and challenge to Securities Services on items related to the credit facilities required for the products offered.
• Collaborate with second line partners in other Risk areas (e.g., ORM), Legal and Compliance, to ensure second line holistic coverage of the Securities Services businesses as well as with first line in-business risk colleagues.
• Interact with Citi regulators as needed, in particular the OCC and FRB.
• Represent Securities Services Risk on various governance forums.
• Support Securities Services Risk colleagues, and members of the wider Services Risk team, on other items & initiatives as necessary

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelors degree required (business, economics preferred), graduate degree a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Banking & Markets products, in particular Issuer Services (Agency & Trust; Depositary Receipts), Custody, Fund Services, and Execution Services
• Fluency in both English & Spanish highly desirable
• Working knowledge of credit risk as it applies to the businesses covered.
• Credit Risk Officer designation a plus
• Fiduciary Risk experience a plus
• Proven senior business engagement skills.
• In depth knowledge of key Citi Risk policies, Risk Governance Framework & Risk Appetite Framework
• Experience interacting with Regulators.
• Ability to exercise sound, timely and independent judgment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong partnership and influencing skills, as well as an ability to challenge first line of defense colleagues as a "trusted partner."
• Strong analytical skills
• Self-starter able to execute and close out an issue in a timely manner.
• 10+ years banking experience.
