Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Department Supervisor -NDT position. In this role you will be a member of the operational leadership team reporting to the Operations Manager or General Manager and perform a variety of leadership responsibilities within the department to ensure timely and accurate test results are delivered.

Salary: $70K-$85K/yr

Responsibilities
    Setting and releasing initial schedule for production to floor
  • Responsible for the coordination of schedules and plans with other company departments to provide for efficient workflow
  • Monitoring product from release to floor to delivery to customer - Ownership of Physical and Digital Production Flow
  • Transmit production performance statistics/concerns to Department Manager and make recommendations for improvement
  • Place critical Purchase Orders for materials, services, and consumables, while tracking and ensure incoming receipt
  • Manage day-to-day operations of a materials testing department
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in your daily department operations
  • Review testing services and promote additional capacity and process improvement
  • Translate technical requirements of the client into providing pricing, timing and technical knowledge for quoting and commercial efforts
  • Engaging with customers to review technical, schedule, and operational needs
  • Assists in development and transmissions of operating plan and strategic plan
  • Communicate with customers based on delivery schedule and shifting priorities
  • Continuously communicating with various internal and external stakeholders regarding needs and updates

  • Ability of leading cross functional teams
  • Ability to read and interpret test specifications, drawings, test plans and/or blueprints
  • Ability to create lead and work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to drive and influence positive change
  • Aerospace experience a plus
  • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Self-directed and detail oriented
  • knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing is a plus
  • Willingness to work overtime when asked based on schedule and customer needs
