Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Platform Architect for the AN/BYG-1 and Tactical Control Systems programs, you'll perform as the lead contributor and visionary in a cross functional team responsible for enabling a seamless developer experience. You will continuously focus on removing hurdles to enable rapid capability development experience by software and infrastructure developers, utilizing the best in breed practices and technologies.

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Lead the automation of infrastructure and tools to streamline operations, deployment, and monitoring processes.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of containerized environments.
  • Conduct assessment of the DevSecOps pipeline needs and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration of new features.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies, especially including CNCF graduated projects, such as ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, Nexus, Helm, Jenkins, Bamboo or other continuous integration tools.
  • You have a passion for pain-free developer experience and understand the pain points developers experience in developing and shipping new features into production.
  • Ability to lead the process improvement initiatives related to software development, deployment and delivery.
  • You stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and proactively find opportunities to operational them.
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment that embraces rapid change, emphasizes continuous learning, and attack new challenges.
  • Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways.
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success.
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.

Target salary range: USD $130,266.00/Yr. - USD $144,513.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
