PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- TIG Weld subassemblies and components.
- Lay out parts and subassemblies according to specifications.
- Inspect all welds for accuracy and complete repairs as needed.
- Fabricate and modify parts.
- Cleans and inspects equipment to maintain functionality; reports repairs as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School degree or equivalent.
MANAGEMENT - no direct reports
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- One (1+) year welding experience
- Able to accurately read a tape measure and conduct mathematical calculations and measurements for cutting accuracy.
- Ability to read blueprint instructions, welding symbols, diagrams, and other printed instructions.
- Familiar with a variety of welding concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong oral communication skills
- Ability to apply standard procedures according to operating policy ad adheres to safety protocols.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where hazardous or unpleasant conditions arise. When in the shop environment, conditions vary based on the area and project.
