Title Clerk - Metro Lexus (Full Time)

Metro Lexus, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is currently looking for a Title Clerk to process titles and registration work. This position will work closely with management, other departments and customers to help ensure harmonious and productive operations. Successful candidates will have some administrative experience, be very detailed orientated and exceptionally organized. They must be able to maintain excellent business relations with customers, both internally and externally. We are willing to train the right candidate. Job Duties:

  • Prepare payments to customers pertaining to vehicle registration refunds.
  • Title vehicles, obtain license plates and register vehicles.
  • Reconcile title/registration related schedules.
  • Reconcile vehicle sales tax schedules.
  • Record all vehicle purchases with the BMV.
  • Assist customers and sales personnel in titling/registration issues.
  • Record titling transactions in DealerTrack title system.
  • Prepare payments for titling and registration.
  • Work with out of state titling agencies.
  • File deals in secure area when titling is completed.
  • Send titles to financial institutions when received from title bureau.
  • Register and update plates and titles for service loaners.
  • Replace other titling personnel during their absence.
  • Reconcile various accounting general ledger accounts.
  • Perform other special request projects as assigned.
  • Participate in monthly and year-end document retention procedures.
  • Coordinate and communicate with team members.
  • Know and understand the Privacy and Information security policy and adhere to its requirements.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Should possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with and maintain a good working relationship with the title bureaus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relating abilities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal courteously and effectively with customers and other team members by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Be able to get along and work effectively with associates.

Job Requirements:

  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-2 years' previous auto title experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
