What Application Development and Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development and Maintenance is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
  • Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
  • Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
  • Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.

Job Summary

LRCGQ IT enables technology solutions for the Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Quality teams at Cardinal Health.The Enterprise electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) will be a SaaS configured solution to manage complaints, non-conformances, investigations, corrective actions, audits, change control, document management and supplier quality management. It will be used across both Medical and Pharmaceutical segments and will include integrations with applications in both the Medical and Pharmaceutical segments for Master Data and Analytics. This role will focus on the implementation of these processes in the new eQMS platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate an eQMS implementation for multiple business processes.
  • Work directly with the subject matter experts and consultants from the implementation vendor.
  • Act as a Functional Lead responsible to manage the scope and deliverables for each process stream leveraging software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Conduct the requirements elicitation process and ensure solution delivery meets business requirements while leveraging existing solution capabilities wherever possible.
  • Accountable for validating the new eQMS processes by working closely with software validation quality and business teams.
  • Maintainrelationships with Quality and Regulatory businessprocess leads and user groups.
  • Build relationships and the governance model to work with the application vendor.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading cross functional teams and IT projects preferred.
  • Prior experience working in an FDA validated environment supporting quality is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with a SaaS provider is preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 8+ years experience in related field preferred.
  • Ability to define work processes and lead team members in successful implementation and ongoing execution preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills preferred.
  • Desire to learn how to configure new SaaS eQMS application preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $119,800 - $ 171,100
