Role - Spectrum/RF Engineer
Client - NOAA
(Working Party/ITU Experience (International Telecommunication Union), as well experience working with Inter‑American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) & Spanish Speaking Engineer is a MUST)
Here are more specific requirements:
Role - Spectrum Engineer
The candidate will be responsible for tracking, assessing, and reporting any regulatory actions related to Federal agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA)
Participate and establish technical rules and procedures for Spectrum sharing & Spectrum Coordination with Federal Agencies
Assist regulatory and policy team in evaluating and conducting analysis on new Rule making Procedures and submissions
Establish technical parameters and standards governing the use of each frequency band or specific service, if applicable
Support DOC/NOAA in various spectrum related topics regarding WRC, ITU Working Groups, NTIA, FCC, and other Federal Agencies
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
Required Skills
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and a minimum of 7+years of direct engineering experience
Must have 7+ years of experience with Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL)
Minimum 10 years of experience in Satellite & Cellular telecommunications industry
10+ years of direct experience in the application of the ITU Radio Regulations and cross-border coordination
In-depth knowledge of FCC rules, procedures, and rule-making processes
Experience in coordination with Federal Agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA)
Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering analysis
Should have excellent written & communication skills in English and preferably in Spanish
Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision
