About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Machine Build Technician to join our shop team. In this role, you will build new equipment and modify existing equipment in support of manufacturing and Research & Development (R&D) operations.

  

This role will be located in our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona. 

  

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities: 
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly and modifications of manufacturing and R&D equipment
  • Work closely with Engineering cross functionally to provide input throughout the design and assembly process
  • Utilization of project tracking tools and providing updates in an asset management system
  • Support maintenance team activities to include scheduled Preventative Maintenance and unscheduled service calls
  • Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position
  • Additional responsibilities as required within the scope of position

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years in machine build and modification experience or a minimum of 2 years related technical degree with a minimum of 2 years working in a field related to this commitment
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly and integration of manufacturing equipment
  • Experience modifying existing equipment
  • Experience with thermal processes, pneumatics, panel wiring, electrical and motion control
  • Experience with red lining of drawings and prints
  • Proficient in the use of general shop tools, hand tools, multi meters, calipers, etc
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite 
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 5 % in support of assembly activities

  

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a controlled environment
  • Programmable Logic Controller experience
  • Knowledge in design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCad
