Your role will involve leading our committed team to deliver precise and prompt accounting services for our mid-sized business. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As the Assistant Accounting Department Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and developing our Accounting Services team of 5 - 7 employees. You will manage operational activities and ensure the accurate processing of accounting data and financial statements.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Guide and train staff on proper procedures, monitor employee performance, and provide feedback as necessary in order to achieve optimum performance.
  • Monitor and analyze daily workflows, business processes, and problems, to develop and implement solutions that enhance quality and efficiencies.
  • Coordinate staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports, and documentation of procedures.
  • Ensure the team is meeting all client deadlines are being met in a professional and timely manner.


LOCATION + SCHEDULE

  • On-site in our Pen Argyl, PA office
  • Full-time Position: Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration is desired or equivalent from four-year College or technical school
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use logical and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and QuickBooks (comparable accounting system)
