Heavy Diesel Mechanic

MOBILE ROADSIDE REPAIR COMPANY

We operate in and around the DC, MD and VA area (95, 495, 66, 395, etc.) Vehicle and Equipment will be provided. Looking for a technician/mechanic with at least 5 years of experience. We do a mixture of fleet maintenance, and emergency road side assistance for heavy duty vehicles. This is a guaranteed 40hr position w/pay every Friday. You will be giving a service van, that is in great condition.

Technician Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• diagnose trucks for problems by interacting with the truck using diagnostic tools on the vehicle electronics.
• interpret various truck diagnostic codes to understand the causes of a vehicle breakdown and conduct repair work.
• work on specialized power tools to conduct repairs or replace broken parts.
• inspect, diagnose and repair brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions and tires.
• Maintain customer service skills and communicate with truck owners to better understand the problems their vehicle is experiencing and what kind of repairs it might require.
• Remove and replace old parts that are not functioning properly.
• Fill tanks
• Specialize in auto/ manual transmission (Allison/Eaton ETC)
• Specialize (DD13/DD15 Cummins ISX-15 Paccar motors etc)
• Specialize in the operations of the DEF/DPF/SCR'
• Must have some tools

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
