SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The CNC Router Operator is responsible for operating CNC routing machinery to cut aluminum and plastic parts/materials as needed to manufacture signage products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Set up, modify, and operate CNC router machine to cut aluminum and plastic parts/materials. EnRoute Software experience a plus.
  2. Read and interpret work order sheets, blueprints, and engineering drawings to determine the workload requirements.
  3. Gather, load and position required materials into CNC router machine for processing.
  4. Perform basic machine maintenance as needed to prevent jams, deterioration, and other processing issues.
  5. Document and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department team lead/supervisor.
  6. Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers and measuring tapes.
  7. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations.
  8. Ensure tasks are completed as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

Job Requirements

Education: Required training in vocational school, related on-the-job experience, or a high school diploma or GED. Signage manufacturing industry knowledge is preferred.

Work Experience: Minimum six months to 1 year of experience working in manufacturing/craftsman style work environment preferred. Excellent hand-eye coordination, Controls and Instrumentation, Equipment Maintenance, Manufacturing Quality & Experience, Safety Management, Quality Focus, and able use Power Tools.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May be required to do limited work outdoors. While performing job duties, employee may often change from one task to another of a different nature, subject to high level of stress/pressure.

Work Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Safety & Security: Responsible for following all safety, and security of, areas assigned or as directed by Hilton Displays policy. Report all accidents, however slight, to your supervisor immediately. Never leave the premises without reporting any accident that occurred during your working time. If you should need medical treatment during your non-work hours, you should contact your supervisor.

Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday OR whatever hours are required to meet the business needs of the job. The position also requires weekend work schedule for Saturdays and Sundays when production area is running.
