Special Education Teacher

Hiring now for the 2022-2023 school year!

This position is for a full time special education certified teacher for a small class of up to 10 students. This classroom will also have a full time para assigned to support the teacher and students. 

Responsibilities for teacher:

• Implement designated curriculum

• Deliver expected curriculum instruction with fidelity

• Actively monitor students following the staff duty schedule

• Create and implement Individual Education Programs

• Collect, analyze, and report on individual student data

• Keep up to date attendance/illness/accident records of children in the class

• Plan, implement and post a weekly written plan of daily class activities

• Set up and maintain an appropriate classroom environment (this includes ensuring a clean and safe classroom)

• Provide quarterly written assessments to administration/families on children’s progress

• Provide written guidelines for substitutes

• Give guidance and direction to teacher assistants and volunteers

• Attend staff meetings and functions of Pathways
