Sr Infrastructure Engineer

Our team is looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer that knows how to secure an enterprise environment.

Essential Duties

· Responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. Install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the operating environment.

· Maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure including monitoring the operating environments; responding to incidents, problems and planning for growth.

· Deploy the release of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain and perform testing of PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware.

· Troubleshooting problems as reported by users, supporting Web access and electronic messaging services and maintaining a secure systems environment.

· Provide infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth, install new servers and maintain the infrastructure.

· Analyze network traffic flow

Minimum Experience, Education and Certification:

· Active Top-Secret clearance

· 7 years supporting multiple systems or applications of medium to highly complex (complexity defined by size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility

· Significant Linux experience vs. Windows

· Working knowledge of government security requirements for configurations, remediations, and application specific settings

· Need excellent writing and verbal communication skills; able to work collaboratively with clients and other technical colleagues.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with customer and end-users, Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Work Environment:

Work will exist in a controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead waist level from floor), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use; frequently fast paced environment.
