Armed Security Officer

Job Type: Full-time

JOB SUMMARY

• Provides security for financial institution protecting staff, assets, and customers.
• Must have current California guard card.
• Must have current California exposed firearm permit.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
• Provides reports for significant incidents.
• Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
• Circulates among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Advises patrons of company policies providing high level customer service.
• Evicts trespassers from premises, using force only in the defense of self or others.
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Must be U.S. citizen.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possession of current/valid applicable state requisites for employment, i.e., California Guard Card, Exposed Firearm Permit, and Baton Permit.
• Extensive background in high-risk security preferred, i.e., military and law enforcement.
• Must possess legally owned sidearm in accordance with all laws.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency, confidence, and competence in firearm use and safety measures.
• Ability to work overtime when directed.
• Ability to handle physical and mental stress.
• Must be able to regularly report to work without being late.
• Ability to be mentally and physically alert on any shift that is assigned.
• Ability to work up to twelve (12) hours within a rolling 24 hour period when directed.
• Must possess valid California state driver’s license.
• Must be mature, flexible, and able to command the respect and confidence of client and general public.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

SCHEDULE

• 8 hour shift
