We are currently seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team and drive our safety initiatives forward.

Job Description: Safety Manager to lead our efforts in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. The Safety Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting inspections and audits, providing training programs, and investigating incidents to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and implement company safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols, with initiatives that drive improved results for a safe workplace. Develop appropriate action plans for improvement with follow-up plans.
• Provide training and development programs for employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and accident prevention.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other relevant data.
• Respond with urgency to safety-related incidents to ensure adequate treatment and care for employees, conducting timely and thorough investigations to determine root cause and accountability for appropriate countermeasures.
• Facilitate a safety committee that engages a cross-functional team of employees to accelerate improvement of safety performance and provide opportunity for involvement.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.
• Stay up to date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as EHS or engineering.
• Experience in the construction industry and/or coordination of safety programs with positive results.
• Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Project/team management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in applied problem-solving tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness and desire to learn and grow.

Travel Requirement: Frequent driving to job sites is required, approximately 60%-80%.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times. Ability to travel throughout facility and on job sites conduct safety inspections.  Must be able to walk, stand, craw, bend, squat, climb and work in various weather conditions
