Legal Assistant Paralegal

Seeking a pre-suit Legal Assistant to join The Law Offices of Dennis L. Webb, in Fort Myers, FL. Successful candidate will assist attorney in pre-suit Personal Injury claims.

Under general supervision, responsibilities will include:

· Handle communications, in person with clients, witnesses, claims representatives, etc.

· Handle telephone communications with claims adjusters, medical providers, billing providers, etc.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality.

· Provide administrative support to paralegals, lawyer and enhance office effectiveness.

· Full knowledge of working a pre-suit claim. Working matter from onset of representation to settlement of claim.

· Full knowledge of scanning procedures, faxing and Zoom video conferences.

· Draft demands and settlement offer proposals.

· Work with paralegal, support staff and attorney.

Skills and Addtitional Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
• Other duties as assigned. File management. Prepare medical bill summaries.
• Requesting documentation and preparing medical records, medical bills, liens, PIP logs, evidence.
• Working knowledge of case management software.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Familiarity with personal injury law, PIP/UM/Liability, Florida Rules of Civil Procedures and protocols, and court system.
