Mortgage Closer

Zillion Technologies is seeking Mortgage Closers to join the Real Estate Lending department of a well-known, nationally recognized Credit Union located in Winchester, Virginia. Ideal candidates will possess previous mortgage, banking, or clerical experience along with a strong drive for professional development. This hybrid position demands strong organizational abilities, the capacity to multitask effectively while maintaining high-quality output, and the capability to meet stringent deadlines.

Job duties include:

• Ensuring credit, underwriting, and property conditions have been satisfied prior to closing.
• Collaborating with multiple departments to ensure loan packages are complete.
• Monitoring the loan process to ensure compliance with federal laws as well as NFUS and secondary market practices, guidelines, and regulations.
• Communicating with outside vendors such as attorneys, settlement agents, and real estate brokers.
• Determining the amount to be withheld from loan proceeds, request and process internal payoffs and prepare request for loan disbursement

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• Previous mortgage, banking, and/or admin experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Diplomacy and tact
• Customer service skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Comfort with technology and the ability to navigate multiple screens and PC applications
• High School Diploma or GED
• The ability to pass a credit and background screening

Work Hours:

• Hybrid flex shift; required on-site 2 days per week
• Hours are Monday - Friday with start times between 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. EST
