Accountant

We are seeking a talented and experienced Accountant with expertise in government contracting. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. This role will involve working closely with government contractor clients, providing specialized accounting services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Perform accounting transaction entry as well as prepare government contracting compliant invoices for FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
• Prepare and review financial statements and indirect cost rate calculations.
• Resolve accounting issues related to government contracts, including cost allowability and allocability.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality accounting solutions.
• Stay updated on changes in government contracting regulations and accounting standards.
• Support administration of contract-compliant accounting as required by the contract.
• Deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 2-3 years of experience in government contracting.
• Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Experience with government contract accounting software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet) is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with QuickBooks online is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
